Your voice in Frankfort and Washington
Who has your back in the halls of the Capitol? To ensure your interests are represented in Frankfort and Washington, we operate an aggressive government affairs division that includes staff and contract lobbyists, a political action committee (PAC) and a key contact program. The Society also works closely with AICPA to educate and inform our federal lawmakers on issues of mutual importance to the profession. For more information about our lobbying efforts, contact Charles George at firstname.lastname@example.org or 502-736-1366.
2018 Legislative Recap
The 2018 Kentucky General Assembly, a 60-day or “long” session, ended on April 14. Throughout the session, KyCPA advocates reviewed nearly 900 bills, met with legislators, and joined forces with other business organizations to ensure your interests were represented at the Capitol. As a result of these efforts, many KyCPA priorities saw final passage, including several tax reform measures, CPA firm mobility, and reforms to Kentucky's workers' compensation and public pension systems.
