In response to the growing number of these requests the CPA Referral Service was developed.  What Is the CPA Referral Service?  The CPA Referral Service is a database of Society members who have elected to participate by completing and submitting a registration form. This database allows individuals and businesses to search for a CPA by location, industry, and client services. The search results appear in alphabetical order, by firm name. A sort by city is available when the search results are displayed. There are two types of listings in the Referral Service: Basic Level and Premium Level. Basic Level and Premium Level Listings- What's the Difference?  Both listings include the firm name, address, phone/fax numbers, e-mail address and the number of professionals in a firm. The Basic Level listing provides firms an opportunity to be in the Referral Service at no charge. Premium Level listings appear in a larger, bolded print. With a Premium Level listing, you can include up to 255 characters of information about the services your firm provides, as well as a link to your web site. Advertising your firm's services on the Premium listing is a huge advantage for individuals and business looking for a CPA! How Does It Work? A business or individual who needs to find a CPA can either contact the CPA Referral Service by calling the Society, or by visiting our web site. The Referral Service database allows a person to search for a CPA firm using all Kentucky counties, 33 industries, and 18 different client services as criteria. Once their selection criteria is entered, matches to meet their needs are quickly produced. Once the matches are displayed, there is an option to sort the firms by city. When a referral is given over the phone, three firms will be referred that best match the potential client's criteria. The three referrals will include a large firm, a small/medium sized firm, and a sole proprietor. If the search is done through the Society's web site, the individual can immediately access the listings of all the firms matching their needs. How Will I Know When My Firm Has Been Referred? When the Society gives a referral, your designated firm contact (as indicated on the Referral Service Registration form) will automatically receive an e-mail from us notifying him/her that your firm was given a referral. Keep in mind that you will receive additional referrals from individuals and businesses searching online! How Will People Find Out About the CPA Referral Service?  The service is being marketed through promotional mailings, our monthly newsletter, our web site, and advertising. Radio stations, conferences and trade shows, chambers of commerce, and various trade associations are also notified of the Society's CPA Referral Service. Who Can Participate in the CPA Referral Service? Any Society member/firm in good standing can participate in the program. How Much Does It Cost? Basic Level listings are provided free of charge as a benefit for members of KSCPA. Premium Level listings are offered for a fraction of what other advertising costs and are based on the size of your firm: 1 - 5 Professionals: $ 50  6 - 25 Professionals: $100  26 - 50 Professionals: $150  50+ Professionals: $200 Prices are for a one- year subscription.
