How can accountants teach accounting data to speak to clients? Data visualization is both fun and critical to creating professional information displays. This workshop will introduce visual design principles, visualization software, and provide accounting examples of visualization.

Learning objectives:

Describe the art and practice of data visualization

Explain the key design principles of visualizing data

Apply the fundamentals of data visualization to accounting data

Identify an accounting project or data set to create a useful data visualization

ESOPs can offer a valuable alternative succession plan for business owners.  Tax reduction and tax deferral are two of the primary advantages, along with creating a financial incentive for employees.  But as with any option for selling a business, ESOPs are not right for every situation. In this basic session for anyone thinking about an ESOP, we will address the advantages, disadvantages, general strategies, and process for selling a business to an ESOP.
