Bobby E. Baldwin, 85, passed away Sunday, December 30, 2018, at his residence. Baldwin was born January 11, 1933, in Owen County, Kentucky. Following graduation from Owenton High School, Baldwin enlisted in the United States Air Force and served from 1951-1955. After completing his enlistment he enrolled at the University of Kentucky and graduated with a degree in accounting. He practiced as a Certified Public Accountant with several regional firms before he, and his wife, Nancy, founded Baldwin & Associates CPAs in Richmond, Kentucky from which he retired. He was a past president of the Kentucky Society of CPAs, the Kentucky Board of Accountancy, the Madison Count Shrine Club, and the Madison County Country Club, where he was an active member for many years. He served on the Board of Shriners Hospital, Lexington, Kentucky for a number of years. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Richmond. Baldwin loved playing golf with friends, watching University of Kentucky basketball, and most of all fishing with his friends, having fished many of the lakes and ponds in Kentucky, Tennessee, and Canada. He was well known among his fishing buddies for dropping his line in the water and catching the first fish. Family has fond memories of motor home trips to many Kentucky State Parks, Canada, Atlantic coast, Colorado and other places. He also enjoyed cooking. His family and good friends will remember his fried fish and shrimp which he often cooked for get-togethers.
