"I feel fortunate to be a member of KyCPA. The CPE that I attend, whether in person or virtual, is current and the presentations are of excellent quality provided by experts in the field. The facility is a comfortable place to attend seminars and the staff is knowledgeable and friendly. I often set up ECTC recruiting tables at local events. Students and attendees enjoy getting the small gift items that I obtain from KyCPA."

"I have been fortunate to be a member of KyCPA, which is an energetic, informative and collaborative organization that keeps in constant contact with its members. The Society provides a monthly online newsletter, CPE course offerings throughout the year, community and legislative updates, and my favorite, committees. There are committees for various industries and purposes that fit anyone’s needs. On the committees I have learned more about the profession, collaborated with my peers and have developed lifelong friendships. I enjoy and look forward to continuing my membership with the Society."

"I practiced in Kentucky years ago primarily when I was with Deloitte Touche, thus I had my Kentucky license. When I returned to Texas, I maintained my Kentucky license and membership with KyCPA, which has been tremendously beneficial from my part. There are two favorite/valuable items that come to the top of mind, considering that there are also others.

My points are:

  • It was a pleasure to receive from the society recognition that my son and I, were both Kentucky CPAs (and still are).
  • I have been fortunate to be active with the Forensic & Valuation section of our membership for many years. During that time, I have learned a lot about our niche section of the CPA services from my participation and networking with some great professionals in the Commonwealth. In addition, I have personally recruited some known national speakers for our conferences over the years. I am proud to say that the feedback from those speakers who come from all over the country -  love coming and being involved with KyCPA folks (especially the hospitality) – top notch committee, members, and professional staff at the Society!"

- Robert Gray, Dallas, Texas (Member/Principal, Gray Schrupp & Associates PLLC)

Robert Gray

“I am thankful for all the resources KyCPA has provided. The best resource I took advantage of was becoming a student ambassador because it taught me how to network. Networking is a key component to success."

"KyCPA serves as the voice for CPAs practicing in Kentucky. I have been a member of KyCPA for 32 years and have never regretted my membership. The people I have met and the resources provided by the Society over the years have been invaluable. My favorite part is the variety of opportunities to participate. Whether serving on a committee, writing an article for The Kentucky CPA Journal, networking with other members at Society events, or speaking at a conference, the opportunities are unlimited. In addition, the CPE offerings are great."

- Kevin Oakley, Bowling Green (Director of State Taxes, Fruit of the Loom, Inc.)

“As a student, I feel so lucky to be a member of KyCPA. There are so many great opportunities, but I’d have to say my favorite part is being able to serve as a student ambassador. Getting paired with my mentor, Sarah, has been a huge help and she’s the first person I turn to for all things CPA exam studying and preparation!”

There’s value in collaborating with other CPA professionals. Together we connect, grow, encourage and share ideas that are mutually beneficial. Being involved in the society allows me to give back to the community through volunteering and promoting the CPA profession. As a student, I was awarded several scholarships through the society that helped me achieve my goal of becoming a CPA. I am blessed to be a KyCPA member."
